Wine and Cheese Party

One night last semester, we had a get together where we just hung out and got to know each while enjoying some wine (for those 21 and over) and cheese because it is loosely related to microbiology!

MRI Global

We went to Kansas City to tour MRI Global Research Facility. We got to learn lots about the company, as well as how they operate. After the tour we walked around the Nelson Adkins Museum, and the Plaza, and had lunch (which was included in the trip) at the Cheesecake Factory.

Spring 2013

Tallgrass Brewery

We went to the Tallgrass brewing facility and had a tour. After the tour we hungout at the brewery and members that were 21 and over got to sample some of the beers made at the brewery.

Fall 2012

BBQ at Martha's!

At the end of Spring 2014 semester, we are having a BBQ at Martha's house on one weekend! We will all bring different sides and cook up some food! It's a good way to end the semester on a high note!

American Society of Microbiology Podcasts

We pull up a podcast from ASM during a meeting and get to watch Microbiologists from all over the country give lectures on new and exciting things going in the field of microbiology. They are always informative and interesting to watch!

ASM Conference in KC

We are a part of ASM Missouri Valley Branch and plan on traveling to Kansas City, MO this Spring to attend the conference with a number of renownd speakers taking place at KCUMB!
